The Real Reason The Wallflowers Stopped Touring

Where have The Wallflowers gone? With a Greatest Hits album released a couple years ago, the band seemed ready to go. Then came Breach right after that. I knew the band was going to make some appearances. But it seems like no information is available on a new tour for these guys. Jakob is out and about doing some shows here and there like FarmAid, and appearing on the new soundtrack for the movie “A Little Help.” Is this band a thing of the past? It looks to me like Jakob Dylan is pretty much on his own now with The Wallflowers no longer existing.Get more information here. http://www.lostateminor.com/2011/06/14/myspace-or-yours-custom-design-for-your-band-page/ Their facebook page is nearly empty of real information about albums, music videos, and tours. This may be because it is fairly new. The MySpace page shows no news on an upcoming tour either. Although one sign of hope is the pages seem to have been logged into recently; I guess there is just no information on the band at present.
So why aren’t they touring? Is Dylan taking some time off from the band and doing his own thing? I found some other members are working on other projects as well. Greg Richling recently produced an album for a band called Halo. Since this is posted on the MySpace page, I assume his efforts are supported by the group. It seems that Fred Eltringham is doing little things with various bands and artists. So as far as I can tell the members are just taking some time to develop some of their own interests separate from The Wallflowers. Who knows if they will get back together and bring the fans some shows, but I can’t wait!! I do have hope they will tour again since there is no information about them quitting and since the sites seem to show support for one another and their current projects.
