Credited as a musician on Bringing Down the Horse and (Breach). Multi-instrumentalist and studio musician, Jon was a member of The Grays (along with Jason Falkner, Buddy Judge, and Dan McCarroll), whose album Ro Sham Bo was released in 1994. Jon worked extensively with Aimee Mann on her two solo albums, played guitars on Jellyfish's album Spilt Milk, and contributed to the sound of Fiona Apple's albums, in particular, her debut, Tidal. Jon has also worked with such artists as The Wallflowers, Murray Attaway, Jude Cole, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, David Byrne, Brian Stevens, Sam Phillips, E (and the Eels), Susanna Hoffs, The Mommyheads, Rufus Wainright, and Garrison Starr, among others. He continues to be much in demand as a studio musician, and is building a reputation writing soundtracks for films such as Magnolia, Boogie Nights and most recently, Hard Eight (with Michael Penn).
