I'm a big fan of the work of producer/manager Andy Slater (including, of course, his work with The Wallflowers), and had been frustrated in my attempts to find out more about him and his projects until I found this site and the great articles you have archived. One thing though, I've been looking for a discography of the Clean Slate imprint to make sure I'm not missing anything. You should check out our calendars section, which lists concerts and, when available, setlists. Depending on the year and the tour, The Wallflowers have covered Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Van Morrison, The Band, The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, Prince, Rod Stewart, & The Who--to name a few. If you're interested in unreleased songs that the band has performed, check out the lyrics page where it lists unreleased songs/lyrics, when available. Comments: Well, I saw the A.C. show last week, and have to admit that I thought John Doe was pretty good, strong, clear voice and great tone, but wasn't really feeling him until a friend gave me his copy of Freedom Is. Now I usually wouldn't post this on a WF board, but I'm totally drawn into John Doe. I'm loving his cd, and haven't stopped playing it ever since I got my hands on it. Basically, I think if someone's going to see a group they love, they'll go regardless of who's opening, as was the case with me. At least I'd go see Jake and the guys no matter who was opening for them.

Comments: I attended your show tonight, and while I thoroughly enjoy your music and enjoyed the show tonight, what is up with the John Doe character? I can see that he is a friend, but he's completely average and his voice is rather monotonous... Oh well. I still love your music, but I'm rather disappointed at paying $35 for a show to get what I did. For future reference, you'll get many, many more people to show up if you avoid Bogarts. We all know we're going to get snowed if we decide to see a show there (I appreciate you enough to risk it though). The Electra at least lends itself to comfortable and enjoyable shows.

Comments: Great performance on The Tonight Show!! Jakob- totally into the music.. very fun to watch, a few different phrasings of the lyrics-- totally brought the song (Sleepwalker) ALIVE!! ... Ben.. hehe, let's just say Ben is the man!! What charisma! And Mario was so into the drums.. I wish I was in the audience! Greg looked like he had a new bass? Anyone see that one before? Rami lost the shades.. hehe, have not seen his eyes for months~ HA! and Mike.. he looked anxious to get off the stage... overall a GREAT performance. Too bad Jay was not into it and kinda threw a shadow over the whole thing with his remaks of Steve Allen passing away, but I do not blame the guy. Quite a loss. Comments: I just wanted to say (or write) that four years have gone but The Wallflowers (it seems to me) have finally really found their footing. The album is solid and haunting, at times even heartbreaking, a lot more personal than most of us have come to expect from these guys and a little less cryptic (to heck with grammer and punctation I have poetic license) but still accessable(sp?)to anyone who has even been let down(and who hasn't?) Comments: I have been a die-hard Wallflowers fan since their 1996 breakthrough album Bringing Down the Horse. I immediately purchased their first self-titled album and, although it was not incrediably popular, love the entire record. Comments: Hey guys!!! I saw the Wallflowers right now on MTV's First Listen. Did anyone else see? It was great!!! I have it all on tape and I'm also going to tape them at the Farmclub next Monday. The songs were great and they performed "Sleepwalker" and also "Hand Me Down" and they were great! Jakob was as cute as always and the band was totally down to earth and funny. I just wish I was there to see them personally but I will have to settle for their concert (if they come to my town) and backstage passes. I hope I get to see them much more on TV and on magazines. Comments: Hey I just wanted to let you guys know the latest I heard about the Wallflowers. They are supposed to be (from what I understand) on the Open House Party next weekend... the OHP is broadcasting live from the Billboard Music Awards. (Which the WF's are going to be at, I guess!!) At first I thought it was this weekend, but then they said next weekend. I listened all day yesterday and Saturday, and I didn't hear them, so I'm guessing it's next!! Comments: I just listened to the viynl version of "Breach". I LOVE this album! It's a little more poppier than BDTH, but it's still all good. My favortes songs on it are "Up From Under" (a slow song), "Murder 101" (a fast song), and "Babybird" (it's SOOO sweet!). Also, while I was listening to it, I noticed somethings in the pictures. For example, in the picture on the back of the lyrics sheet, if you look very closly at the newspaper Jakob's reading, there's a picture of the Powerpuff Girls (lol!). Anyway, I can't wait for the CD version to come out, but luckily, the new Radiohead CD comes out a week before, so that'll keep just sane enough. Unfortunately, my mom won't let me sleep outside Best Buy the night before "Breach" comes out. Oh well! Bye! :)

Comments: The Wallflowers Network is a great informational site. I think it is probably one of the best band sites out there, certainly one of the most informative. I love checking out all the news updates and finding new Wallflowers info. The only thing I wauld recommend the site needs is a picture archive. Comments: I am so unbelievably thrilled that a new Wallflowers album will be coming out on October 10th...I kept track of them relentlessly until they seemed to fade into oblivion, when they were working on their new album and all for the past few years, but I never gave up hope that they would be back and now THE TIME HAS COME!! I heard Sleepwalker on the radio today (Sept. 6) and I was blown away by it, but I have unfortunately not had the pleasure of seeing the video although I've heard it's already playing on VH1...gosh, I'm sure this all sounds really gushy and annoying but it's only because I'm so EXCITED right now! I went backstage and had the HONOR of meeting Jakob Dylan in person 3 years ago when I was 16 and I will never forget that day. If there's ever a chance on this earth that he may ever read this, I would like to say how much his writing has affected me. I know it probably sounds totally cliche to say that, but it's the truth; I've always been able to identify with his songs and I know that's no amazing thing since I'm sure almost everybody who listens to the songs can somehow identify with them, but I just want to say that there's one person out there who has benefited so strongly from Jakob's gift for writing, both lyrically and musically. I can only wait in suspense for what is to come and I would like to say thank you to him (and the rest of the band, of course!) for bringing class, talent, and true beauty to music in a time when it's really hard to come by. I can't WAIT until "Breach" comes out, and I'd be more than happy to share concert experiences or anything else that may be beneficial to the network! Just let me know! Anything for the absolute most fabulous band in the universe....

Comments: I am really glad there is a site like this for the Wallflowers. I just love how the news is always updated every single day! Amazing! I just heard a bootleg of Breach and the album is something I can't describe. It is better than their last two albums. They have really out did themselves. "Letters from the Wasteland" sounds like "Teen Spirit" and it has a Pixie-feel to it. I think this is the track where Frank Black guest stars on because it sounds like a Pixies song and it has his very familiar guitar solo in there. "I've been delivered" has this island beat/Jamacian feel and vibe to it. Not reggae, but it is very upbeat. I don't want to give away too much about this album and its songs, so just go on out and get it! You won't regret it.
