| Comments: So I signed this thing earlier proclaiming my joy at the Wallflower's return to New Orleans for Jazzfest. I'd been planning to go for quite sometime but an unlikely turn of events totally screwed up my day. First, I could not find ANYONE to go with me, and I'm quite a social butterfly. It seemed as though everyone had to work this weekend, was going out of town, or simply didn't feel like going to Jazzfest until next weekend when Dave Matthew's Band would be there. Well, I resolved myself to going totally alone, but today as my mother and I were going to pick some stuff up from the store, we were broadsided by a truck which has left a permanent impression on the side of our small Tercel. *We weren't hurt thankfully, and the car was still driveable* Alas, I would not let a little accident stop me so I head out to my destination without any idea as to how to get there. Needless to say, I drove for 2 hours and ALMOST missed the show. Because of some nice people at a gas station, I made it in time. I desperately wanted to get into the front row, but in doing so I was shoved around (literally) by two large men who said they'd been there since 6 AM and that I could just move on. They also told me that they had no idea who The Wallflowers were, but that I wasn't getting in the front row. On the verge of tears and totally alone, a nice group of folks in the front-middle took pity on me and let me stay with them. The concert was incredible and all they wanted was to see me smile. Adam Duritz came out and sang a duet with Jakob Dylan during 6th Avenue Heartache and I was just totally engrossed in the show. It was definitely THE BEST concert I have ever been to. I would have been completely happy with the roll of film I got of the band and being able to sit in the front row, but at the very end, Mario Calire threw me a drum stick!!! A terrible day ended better than I could have ever imagined!! *grinning from ear to ear for days* Rock on guys and make your way back to New Orleans soon!!!! | |

of bricks! They finally come back to Jersey, and it's as an opening act. John's alright, but I really am not into him, but want to see the guys, so I'm torn. Well,it's that and the ticket prices for orchestra seats, you know, cause I don't want to see a 45 minute set on a big screen, want to be right there, up close, lol! It's that, when it rains, the lawn gets kind of damp and squishy for days afterwards, and the fact that I have to save up for tuition again (damn the school for their rising costs!) bacause orchestra seats are kind of up there. Man, I'm torn! Should I just get the tickets using the money I saved up for the tattoo I'm getting? I mean, the set won't be that long at all, butboth the tattoo and the memory of the concert last forever, so what to do, what to do, lol! Yeah, I know, this is one of my longer posts, for this guestbook at least, lol! |

was fabulous. Congratulations! It was extremely informative and interesting. The
Wallflowers are an awesome band. I had the chance to see them in October at Madison Square
Garden in NYC as the opening act to my favourite band the Who. I really hope I get the chance to see them in concert again because unfortunately I don't remember much from the show since I was so exicted and I was freaking out. But I remembered them playing 6th Avenue Heartache because I was actually sitting down while they performed the song. The rest of the time I was busy dancing away making a complete fool of myself. Hooray for the Wallflowers and to this site! :) |

two songs that inspired me to make a real positive venture out of a real negative situation when I was headed for prison in 1997....... I lived in my 4 plex accross the street from here then on........none other than 6th ave. (heartbreak....uknow).....and God also gave me a little party friend named nancy......who gave me her Wallflowers CD to listen to. She is also an artist and been thru alot......as all range artists have.
