Bringing Down the House, Wallflowers Style
The Wallflowers have released five studio albums and have won two Grammy awards in their twenty plus years of existence. Despite constant lineup changes, the band has managed to maintain the essence that made it great in the first place. Like many bands who have had hit songs, the Wallflowers have struggled to find their next commercial hit. This is not due to the fact their new music is not as good as older stuff, just that their older songs are so great.Additional information can be found at http://www.inallcaps.com/2011/04/id-have-to-take-thousand-pills-to-find.html.
With Bringing Down the Horse in 1996, the Wallflowers managed to write an album that would come to define a portion of the 90s for many fans. 6th Avenue Heartache was a song that many 16 years olds would listen to drown away the tears from their first break up. The Difference and Three Marlenas were songs that would be listened to over and over again on a cool summer evening with friends.
However, those three songs are not even comparable to One Headlight. One Headlight was a once and a generation song, the result of everything going right for a songwriter. When you heard One Headlight for the first time, you knew something was special about it. One Headlight has cemented the bands legacy in the minds of all music lovers of the 90s.
