“One Headlight” is What Makes “The Difference”
I first noticed The Wallflowers when I heard “One Headlight” on the radio. The distinct voice of Jakob Dylan, the catchy beat and the unique poetry set to music lands The Wallflowers in my top ten artist list. I bought the album “Bringing Down the Horse” and became a lifelong fan. Although “One Headlight” remains my favorite song, I love “The Difference” and “6th Avenue Heartache.” Fans came on board with The Wallflowers after the release of “One Headlight” some fifteen years ago. Since that time The Wallflowers have released a few more albums and had a couple of tours, but their presence has dwindled. The band members are pursuing individual projects. Jakob Dylan recently did some songs for an upcoming soundtrack, and other members are producing other bands. The Wallflowers is not in the mainstream, but it seems they like it that way. As long as they keep making music I will continue supporting them. I plan to introduce all new family members and friends to their music to keep it alive. The Wallflowers set a standard in uniqueness, presentation and style. The success of “One Headlight” brought their music to millions and made all “The Difference” in my music collection.
