The Wallflowers, The Iconic Alternative Rick Band
Originally known as The Apples, The Wallflowers formed in 1989 as an alternative rock band that was to become a favorite of people everywhere. Based out of Los Angeles, this band began playing at local clubs before getting their real start in 1992 when they released their self titled album under Virgin Records. Headed up by Jacob Dylan, this band produced singles like “One Headlight” and “6th Avenue Heartache”. The Wallflowers are most famous for their single, “One Headlight” which rose to the top of American and European charts in 1998. Yet the Wallflowers were a formed alternative rock band long before this hit single. They started in 1989 in Los Angeles with the band named ‘The Apples’, the front man Jakob Dylan has been a permanent fixture of this band from the start. While Jakob Dylan is the son of a great legend, his music tends to follow more of the late California vibe rather than the 60s vibe.
